Karnataka RTE School Admission List 2024-2025: 2nd Lottery Result
The academic year of 2024-25 will witness the implementation of the second phase of seat allocation under the Right to Education (RTE) Act in Karnataka. Scheduled for 25th June 2024, this allocation process will be conducted via an online lottery system. From the 25th of June to the 2nd of July 2024, parents will be promptly notified through SMS messages in both Kannada and English languages once their child secures a seat.
Upon receiving this notification, parents are required to access the official departmental website and enter the unique seat selection application number to generate a printed copy of the seat allotment. Subsequently, they must present this document, the child’s original Aadhaar card, and the RTE application form at the selected school for the registration process. It is crucial to highlight that parents must complete their child’s enrollment by the 2nd of July 2024. Additionally, the selected school is given until the 3rd of July 2024 to update the enrolled child’s information in the online system.
2nd Round Lottery Process for RTE Admission in Karnataka 2024
In the academic year 2024-25, Karnataka RTE Unaided Private Schools will be offering admissions for LKG or Class 1 under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act. Enacted in 2009, the RTE Act is a significant national law that ensures free and mandatory elementary education for children aged 6 to 14 years across all states and union territories in India.
The Act specifically focuses on providing educational opportunities in local private unaided schools. Additionally, Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act mandates that at least 25 percent of the total class capacity at the Class I level in neighborhood schools must be allocated to children from underprivileged backgrounds and disadvantaged communities. This directive is designed to foster inclusive educational policies.
Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25: First Round on 7.6.2024
The Karnataka RTE School Admission process for the upcoming academic year 2024-25 has undergone a change in its timeline. The Government of Karnataka has decided to reschedule the date for the lottery draw results, managed by the Department of School Education at the Commissioner’s Office on Nripatunga Road in Bangalore 560001, in alignment with Section 12(1)(b) of the Right to Education Act 2009.
This adjustment also involves an extension of the start date as specified in section 12(1)(c) of the Act. Originally planned for 05.06.2024, the online lottery draw had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, particularly surrounding the Election Code of Conduct. A revised schedule has been issued, with the first round of seat allotment through an online platform now set for 07.06.2024. The enrollment process for schools is anticipated to kick off from 08.06.2024 until 19.06.2024, followed by the second round of seat allotment on 25.06.2024.

Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25 Last Date
Karnataka’s state government has implemented significant changes to the admission procedure for the academic year 2024-2025. The cutoff date for admissions in private unaided schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE) has been shifted from the original deadline of April 22, 2024, to the updated date of May 20, 2024.
Karnataka RTE School Admission 2024-25 Lottery Result
Families interested in enrolling their children are required to complete the online application process between March 22, 2024, and May 20, 2024. Once applications are submitted by March 23, 2024, a thorough review will be carried out to ensure compliance with the set guidelines. The list of qualifying candidates for the lottery will be revealed on June 1, 2024, followed by the initial seat allocation on June 5, 2024. The school admission process will kick off on June 6, 2024, and will continue until June 13, 2024.

Online software will manage the upcoming second round of seat allocation on 19th June 2024. Subsequently, from 20th June 2024 to 27th June 2024, parents can enroll their children in the assigned seats at schools. To ensure admission in their preferred institutions, parents should finalize the enrollment process by 20th June 2024.
