UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2024 Eligibility
To be eligible for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2024, applicants must adhere to specific criteria detailed below:
Nationality: Appointments under these regulations are restricted to Indian citizens, unless there is written approval from the Central Government. Nevertheless, candidates from Nepal or Bhutan may also be eligible for consideration under these regulations.
Gender: The role of Assistant Commandant is open to both male and female applicants.
Age Criteria:
Candidates should be at least 20 years old and no older than 25 by August 1, 2024. This indicates that eligible individuals must have been born between August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2004.
The upper age limit may be relaxed in the following instances:
- A maximum of five years for those belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
- A maximum of three years for candidates from Other Backward Classes who qualify for reservation.
- A maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants, as per current government guidelines. Ex-Servicemen are also entitled to this relaxation. However, the cumulative relaxation period due to Government Service cannot surpass five years.
