The Bank is not obligated to offer employment to apprentices upon completion of their training, and apprentices are not obliged to accept any job offer. Apprentices have no automatic entitlement to employment with the Bank after finishing their training, and the Bank is not required to provide regular employment to apprentices during or after the apprenticeship period.

CBI Apprentice Training Guidelines 2024

In the upcoming training session, apprentices will receive hands-on experience to develop their skills. They will have the privilege of enjoying the same holidays as the Bank’s employees. Each month of apprenticeship, apprentices will be granted one casual leave. No other leave types are applicable to apprentices, and they can only take a maximum of 4 casual leaves at a time. Any accrued leave will be forfeited upon contract completion or termination.

The training hours will align with the standard working hours of the Bank’s clerical staff. Overtime training is neither required nor permitted for apprentices. Should an apprentice sustain a personal injury during their training period, the Bank will be responsible for providing compensation as per the regulations outlined in the Workmen’s Compensation Act, 1923, with adjustments specified in the Apprentices Act, 1961 schedule.
