Entitlement for AFD-I items: Two Wheeler, Fridge, Washing Machine, and more

The opportunity to buy Additional Flexible Duty-1 (AFD-I) items, which include two-wheelers, fridges, washing machines, TVs, air conditioners, mobile phones, and laptops, is now open to certain groups of canteen smartcard holders at every pay grade. This encompasses current Armed Forces members, retired Armed Forces personnel, active Defense civilians, and retired Defense civilians.

Unlike the purchase of a car, there’s no minimum service duration needed to acquire these other AFD-I items. All eligible canteen smartcard holders can secure these products without regard to how long they have served.

When it comes to how often one can buy various AFD-I items such as TVs, air conditioners, fridges, mobile phones, laptops, desktops, washing machines, and two-wheelers, the following rules are in place:

  • For TVs: Up to two units can be acquired in a four-year block.
  • For air conditioners: A maximum of four units is allowed within the same four-year period.
  • For all other AFD-I items (excluding four-wheelers): Only one unit may be purchased in a four-year cycle from the date of the last acquisition.

The frequency of these purchases will be periodically reviewed by the Directorate General Canteen Services, and any changes will be communicated accordingly. Additionally, for repurchasing within the same category, only one product of that type can be bought during a designated timeframe.

Entitlement for AFD-I Items: Four Wheeler Purchases

Who can buy four-wheelers through the CSD AFD Online Portal Registration? There are three distinct groups eligible for this purchase: Officers, JCOs, and ORs, each having a defined spending limit. If a user encounters the specified message, they should opt for a different product that falls within their respective budget or category.

Additionally, the following holders of canteen smartcards are permitted to acquire other AFD items: Serving Defence Civilians (Pay Level 11 and above), Retired Defence Civilians (Pay Level 11 and above), Serving Armed Forces Personnel (Pay Level 1 to 18), and Retired Armed Forces Personnel (Pay Level 1 to 18). For more details, please visit the provided link: https://afd.csdindia.gov.in/eligibility-criteria

CSD AFD Purchase: Everything You Need to Know

Individuals who can buy four-wheelers using a canteen smartcard belong to specific groups. This privilege is granted to Serving Defence Civilians at Pay Level 11 and higher, as well as Retired Defence Civilians at the same level. Furthermore, Serving Armed Forces Personnel from Pay Level 1 to 18 are also eligible, alongside Retired Armed Forces Personnel within that pay grade range.

As per the AFD CSD AFD Online Portal Registration rules, ownership of the vehicle cannot be transferred until five years have elapsed since the initial purchase. This means that even if you hand over your first car to a family member, you’ll still have to wait for the full five years before you’re allowed to buy another vehicle through the CSD AFD Online Portal Registration. Additionally, any new vehicle purchases can only take place after another five-year interval from the last acquisition.

Payments cannot be made using accounts belonging to your spouse, wife, or children. However, if you share a joint account with them and you are the primary account holder, you can transfer funds from that account for payments. To do so, all joint account holders must submit a formal declaration allowing transactions specifically for AFD-I item purchases via the designated CSD AFD Online Portal Registration.

Beneficiaries are permitted to make partial payments, which can occur up to two times, providing some flexibility in managing their financial responsibilities by breaking payments into smaller amounts.

The CSD’s involvement concludes once the product is delivered. After that point, all services including after-sales support, warranty claims, registration, and insurance fall entirely on the customer. The CSD does not engage in these post-delivery matters, placing the onus on the customer to handle them independently.

Military CSD Canteen Job Vacancies 2024 PDF: In the canteens operated by the Military or Defence CSD, most of the workforce is on temporary contracts, with only a handful of permanent positions available. This trend is consistent across all URC and Depot canteens throughout India. The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) headquarters issues announcements whenever there are job openings in the administrative sector. The criteria for hiring at the CSD Depot Office, CSD Accounts Office, and URC Canteens are established by the headquarters as soon as a vacancy is identified. Subsequently, they follow the established guidelines to fill these positions. Additionally, some canteens may opt to hire Ex-Servicemen for certain roles, particularly those related to security.

A significant majority, around 90%, of the staff at CSD Depot and URC canteens are on temporary contracts. These workers earn a fixed monthly salary and handle various responsibilities, including managing billing, distributing goods, and coordinating the collection of items from the Depot.

If you’re interested in temporary job opportunities with the CSD, it’s best to contact the management at your nearest URC CSD Canteen. They will provide you with all the necessary information regarding salary and working hours.

CSD Car Eligibility 2024 – Check Your Rank Now! https://freerecruitment.in/csd-car-eligibility/ Mon, 22 Jul 2024 06:17:31 +0000 https://freerecruitment.in/?p=1550 Read more]]> CSD Car Eligibility Criteria Rank Wise, New Car Policy 2024, Limits for Buying Car

Eligibility for JCOs and ORs: Car Purchase Criteria via CSD: Retired Defence Civilian Car Eligibility: The Canteen Stores Department (CSD HO) has recently rolled out a revamped car policy specifically designed for Armed Forces members and veterans, detailing the criteria for acquiring vehicles through the CSD AFD Online Portal.

One of the key updates in this policy focuses on the total number of cars an individual can purchase in their lifetime. As per the new guidelines, Defence Personnel in pay levels 3 to 5 are allowed to buy up to four cars throughout their lifetime, while those in pay matrix levels 6 to 9 can purchase as many as five cars during their lifespan.

Rank-wise CSD Car Eligibility for Purchase 2024

Starting February 1, 2024, significant changes are being implemented regarding the CSD Car Eligibility criteria for purchasing cars through the CSD. This updated policy is specifically tailored for Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO) and Other Ranks (OR) associated with the CSD Canteen.

The new guidelines for entitlements across all pay matrices have been meticulously crafted to promote fairness and transparency in the car acquisition process. Additionally, this revamped car purchasing policy now encompasses officers from Ordnance Factories, broadening the range of individuals who can take advantage of this initiative. It’s important to note that the procedure for buying a car via CSD AFD has also been revised this year, highlighting the necessity for all Armed Forces members to familiarize themselves with the steps involved in acquiring a vehicle from the CSD Canteen.

2024 New CSD Car Policy for Other Ranks (ORs)

Individuals with the rank of Sepoy or its equivalent in the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy (pay levels 3A to 5) are subject to specific criteria regarding CSD Car Eligibility and benefits for vehicle purchases through the Canteen Stores Department (CSD). This includes active personnel, retirees, their widows, and next of kin. For those in pay levels 3 to 5, which encompasses both serving and retired members of the Armed Forces, as well as pensioners and their families, the maximum limit for acquiring a car through CSD is set at 8 lakhs, not including taxes.

Each eligible person may purchase up to four cars in their lifetime. The first vehicle can be obtained only after five years of service, and there is an enforced waiting period of eight years before buying another car. If a widow of a pensioner wishes to take advantage of this benefit, she may do so using the remaining allowance of her late spouse.

However, if the deceased had already made four vehicle purchases during their lifetime, the widow will not be entitled to this benefit. It is essential to note that the acquisition of two cars must be spaced out by an eight-year interval, which underscores the importance of prudent management and allocation of privileges and resources within this group.

2024 CSD Car Policy for JCOs: Latest Updates

The Indian Army’s Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), along with Subordinate Majors from the Naval Branch and their counterparts in the Indian Air Force and Navy, are now subject to an updated policy. This change permits Defense Personnel classified within pay levels 6 to 9—mainly Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs)—to purchase up to five vehicles over their lifetime via the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) Armed Forces Depot (AFD) online system.

This benefit extends to retired personnel and widows, allowing them to take advantage of this opportunity as well. The first vehicle can be obtained after a dedicated service period of five years, followed by a required wait of eight years for any additional purchases. This new initiative represents a notable enhancement from the earlier restriction of only three cars. Additionally, each vehicle purchase is capped at 10 lakhs (excluding taxes), reflecting a strong commitment to supporting and recognizing the contributions of our armed forces members and their families.

CSD Car Policy for Armed Forces Officers – 2024

People who have committed themselves to serving in the Armed Forces—this includes retirees, widows, and immediate family members—are classified within Pay Levels 10 to 18. In recognition of their dedication and sacrifices, these individuals are offered the unique opportunity to purchase vehicles, with a limit of 20 lakhs, not counting any taxes that may apply. Each qualifying person can take advantage of this benefit once every eight years, allowing them to travel with ease and comfort.

CSD Car Policy for Civilian Officers 2024

The CSD Eligibility Car Policy for 2024 is designed for civilian officers who are either active or retired and receive compensation from defense estimates at pay grades 11 to 18, including those receiving family pensions. These individuals are eligible for a vehicle purchasing benefit that can go up to INR 20 lakhs, not including taxes. This benefit can be accessed once every eight years by those who qualify.

New EV Policy for CSD 2024: Updated Guidelines and Regulations

CSD Car Eligibility for Vehicles: The CSD’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Car Policy for 2024 has seen some changes aimed at benefiting military members who are selecting an EV for the first time. Under the revised guidelines, these service members will have the opportunity to acquire their next vehicle after just six years, rather than the standard eight-year wait. However, it’s crucial to understand that any subsequent vehicle purchase will still require a complete eight-year period before CSD Car Eligibility is restored.

CSD Car Eligibility for Agniveers and Students of Military Schools

The Canteen Stores Department, or CSD, extends its services to Agniveers, students enrolled in Sainik and Military Schools, as well as Officer Cadets in Training Academies. These individuals are entitled to acquire grocery products costing up to 3,500 rupees each month through the use of Steel Cards. Upon finishing their training, both newly commissioned officers and Agniveers are issued grocery and liquor cards at their respective Training Academies and Centers. Furthermore, Officer Cadets are provided with a ‘Personalized CSD Smart Card,’ enabling them to buy groceries valued at 5,000 rupees monthly and AFD-II items up to a total of 20,000 rupees annually.
