Code A corresponds to the position of Junior Translation Officer (JTO) within the Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), offering a pay scale at Level-6 (Rs.35400-112400).

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2024

SSC JHT Age Limit 2024

The age limit for SSC JHT in 2024 is from 18 to 30 years as of August 1, 2023. This means that applicants must have been born between August 2, 1993, and August 1, 2005 to be eligible. There are specific age relaxations for different categories: SC/ST candidates have a 5-year relaxation, OBC candidates have a 3-year relaxation, and PwD (Unreserved), PwD (OBC), and PwD (SC/ST) categories have 10 years, 13 years, and 15 years of relaxation respectively.

Ex-Servicemen (ESM) can deduct 3 years from their actual age based on the military service rendered.   • A Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

  • A Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
    OR
  • A Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.
    AND
  • A recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa, or two years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in a Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
